Fatma Gazeyoglu is a master’s student in Dr. Guillermo Risatti’s lab, where she focuses on next-generation sequencing of viral genomes and genome mapping. Her current research involves sequencing the whole genome of Marek’s Disease Virus from clinical samples at the Connecticut Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, followed by mapping the genomes, identifying variants present in New England. Outside the lab, she enjoys practicing taekwondo, playing video games, and watching Formula 1 races.
