Gregory J. Tsongalis
Director, Molecular Pathology
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH
My laboratory provides state-of-the-art genomic testing that helps our clinicians make the best possible clinical management decisions for their patients.
In this era of precision medicine, pathologists play a critical role in diagnosing diseases and interpreting test results. Genomic testing helps us understand the way human diseases work, which helps us design better diagnostic tests. Better tests lead to more accurate diagnoses, which lead to more effective clinical care and better patient outcomes.
I am very passionate about my job. I am proud of the world-renowned clinical genomics program we have developed here at D-H. I love knowing that my laboratory produces results that help the clinical care team provide excellent care for our patient population and that we are pushing the envelope of clinical translational research in the “omics” space.
